(Wayne, PA -- January 15, 2009) AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and Automated Fuel Systems, congratulates its customers who were named to Government Fleet Magazine's "Top 100 Public Sector Fleets of 2008." AssetWorks sends sincere congratulations to Hillsborough County (FL), City of Austin (TX), City of Oxnard (CA) and City of Portland (OR) for placing first through fourth places respectively as the Top 100 Public Sector Fleets of 2008!

Each year Government Fleet magazine recognizes the Top 100 Public Sector Fleets based on many factors including improved operational efficiency, significant savings, and increased fleet availability. AssetWorks provides the Enterprise Asset Management and Automated Fueling Systems solutions that allow these fleets to constantly strive for and achieve improvements in their operations.

"AssetWorks is proud to play a role in these fleets making the type of operational and maintenance improvements that merit such an award," states John Hines, President of AssetWorks. "It affirms our products' real-world, measurable value. One of our goals as a company is to provide our clients the best in technology and service. This technology can help them increase vehicle up-time, reduce costs and give them access to the data that enables them to make better management decisions."

Hillsborough County, Florida, named the #1 Public Sector Fleet, has been a customer of AssetWorks (formerly MAXIMUS Asset Solutions) since 1999 and uses FleetFocus™to manage over 4,000 vehicles. The Hillsborough Fleet Management Department is responsible for the acquisition, fueling, maintenance, repair, and disposal of these vehicles and has a departmental budget of over $30 million per year.

"We use FleetFocus™extensively throughout all our fleet operations and are virtually a paperless shop. FleetFocus™' system allows us to manage through real data. This helps us to be more efficient and effective," stated Sharon Subadan, Fleet Director, Hillsborough County. Subadan continued, "The level of success that we have achieved with the system is due to the ingenuity, responsiveness and knowledge of their staff and quality of their support, maintenance and training."

The #2 Public Sector Fleet, the City of Austin, uses both the FleetFocus™and FuelFocus™integrated solution to manage their fleet of over 5,000 vehicles. Austin is proud that more than 50% of its fleet consist of hybrids, CNG units or burns 20% biodiesel. FuelFocus™Automated Fueling System is able to handle all of these alternate fuels and fluids and uses a Radio Frequency Identification system to automatically integrate the fuel issue data and meter readings into FleetFocus.

"We have worked with AssetWorks (formerly MAXIMUS Asset Solutions) for over ten years and during that time they have helped the City of Austin migrate into a much better maintenance management system. We now have a single, truly integrated system that handles both maintenance and fuel," said Bruce Kilmer, Business Systems Analyst Supervisor, Fleet Services for the City of Austin. He continued, "Fuel transactions appear instantaneously. As our fleet has looked to become more fuel efficient, FuelFocus™has helped by supporting alternative fuels and fluids. This real-time, relevant information helps us better manage all our vehicles."

The City of Oxnard, California, the #3 Public Sector fleet, has been an AssetWorks (formerly MAXIMUS Asset Solutions) customer since 2005, using the browser version of FleetFocus™to manage a fleet of approximately 900 vehicles. Oxnard's Fleet Services Division is responsible for acquisition, disposal, fueling, maintenance, and repair of the City's $34 million vehicle and equipment fleet.

"We converted to AssetWorks software from a homegrown database with paper work orders and little to no historical data. Our technicians were able to master the software almost immediately and our efficiency quickly improved. The software's capabilities are almost limitless, and we've been very successful at exploiting those capabilities to better serve our customers," said Dan Berlenbach, Fleet Services Manager for the City. He continued, "We're now a paperless shop with excellent data integrity and able to offer the information that our customers demand. I especially value the software's strong analysis and reporting packages that have enabled us to implement fact-based management of the fleet."

The City of Portland, Oregon, named the #4 Public Sector Fleet in North America, has been a customer of AssetWorks (formerly MAXIMUS Asset Solutions) since 1991 and is using FleetFocus™to manage a diverse fleet of 2,850 vehicles and pieces of equipment. CityFleet procures, maintains, repairs, fuels, and disposes of this equipment as well as manage a $35.8 million budget.

"CityFleet uses FleetFocus™to track all aspects of our business. The software provides seamless data capture, fleet analysis, and meaningful reports. These features enable better accountability, improve business performance, enhance customer service, and give us our competitive edge over the private sector," stated John S. Hunt, CPFP, Fleet Director. Hunt continued, "We look forward to continuing our relationship with the AssetWorks team while leveraging the technology to achieve future success."

In 2008 John Hunt was selected as APWA's Public Fleet Professional Manager of the Year, for his innovative ideas, accomplishments, and demonstrated ability to gain credibility and recognition for his fleet team. For information on Portland CityFleet, please click here.
